We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant in Head & Neck Surgery with a specialistinterest in Thyroid and Benign Head & Neck to join our dynamic and innovative ENT team. Our departmentprovides a comprehensive, high-quality ENT service to a population of over 750,000 and is recognised as aleading centre for Head & Neck Surgery.This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a multidisciplinary team that includes specialists in Otology,Rhinology, Endocrinology, Maxillofacial Surgery and Radiology. You will play a key role in deliveringoutpatient clinics, diagnostic services, and surgical interventions, with a focus on Thyroid, Benign Head &Neck, and cancer pathways.We are looking for some with substantial experience in Thyroid & Benign Head & Neck Surgery who has theability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and lead service improvements.
Outpatient Services - Deliver outpatient clinics at Queen's Hospital and peripheral sites, including theweekly Neck Lump Clinic.
Surgical Expertise - Perform benign and diagnostic cancer Head & Neck procedures, thyroid surgeries, and routine ENT operations. Manage complications and provide post-operative care.
Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Involvement - Active participation in Head & Neck MDT and Thyroid MDT meetings to ensure high-quality, collaborative patient care.
Clinical & Educational Leadership - Contribute to teaching, training, and mentoring junior doctors, as wellas supporting clinical governance and service development.
On-Call Commitment - Participate in the emergency ENT on-call rota, providing specialist input whenrequired.
Extensive organisational and management experience at the Cancer Alliance level, with a proven trackrecord in optimising cancer pathways is desirable along with strong teaching and mentoring background,with experience in supervising junior doctors and trainees.

Many can work flexibly and more than 400 of them are on our Ofsted accredited apprenticeship programmes.
