Bowland Ecology is seeking skilled consultant ecologists to help shape the future of our work across the UK. You will manage projects, coordinate habitat and protected species surveys, and produce technical ecological reports to support development and conservation outcomes.

Qualifications

• A relevant ecology degree or equivalent.
• CIEEM membership (or equivalent) is required.
• Minimum 3 years in ecology practice with field and report experience.
• Strong communication, teamwork and time management skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with ability to work independently.
• Clear, concise report writing and data interpretation.
• Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel as needed.
• Genuine enthusiasm for wildlife and ecological conservation.

Responsibilities

• Manage own projects including proposals and client liaison.
• Plan, coordinate and conduct habitat and protected species surveys.
• Produce technical ecological reports.
• Design ecological mitigation schemes.
• Supervise junior staff and review work.
• Contribute to business development and winning new work.
• Develop skills and advance within Bowland Ecology.
