Job summary

Bupa UK is recruiting a Consultant Dermatologist to join Everything Skin Limited on a self-employed basis. The role requires a GMC license and Specialist Register in Dermatology, with a minimum commitment of 8 hours per week and compensation by percentage split.

You will deliver expert outpatient dermatology care, perform procedures as needed, and contribute to governance and service development while collaborating with GPs and nurses to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold GMC registration with licence to practise and be on Specialist Register in Dermatology.
• Proven experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of dermatological conditions.
• Confident performing dermatology procedures and minor skin surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of dermatological conditions.
• Deliver high-quality outpatient dermatology services with excellent patient outcomes and patient experience.
• Perform dermatology procedures including biopsies, excisions, and minor surgical interventions.
• Develop personalised treatment plans and advise patients on management of skin conditions.
• Maintain accurate, timely, compliant patient records.
• Collaborate with GPs, specialist nurses, surgeons and allied staff.
• Contribute to clinical governance and service development.
• Adhere to clinical guidelines and safety/regulatory standards.
• Support teaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the clinical team.
• Maintain CPD and stay updated with dermatology advancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of a wide range of dermatological conditions.
• Deliver high-quality outpatient dermatology services, ensuring excellent clinical outcomes and patient experience.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records in line with professional and regulatory standards.

• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and service development activities.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant clinical guidelines, patient safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Support teaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the wider clinical team where appropriate.
• Maintain continuous professional development and stay up to date with advancements in dermatology practice and treatments.

Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role
