Job summary

18 Week Support seeks experienced Consultant Dermatologists to join Southampton teams for weekend insourcing lists, supporting NHS waiting list initiatives across. Flexible weekend sessions are available in a patient-focused environment with multidisciplinary support.

Candidates should have GMC Specialist Register in Dermatology and an active licence to practise, with NHS consultant experience and strong communication skills to contribute to reducing waiting times.

Qualifications

• GMC registration with Specialist Register accreditation in Dermatology.
• Active Licence to Practise registered to practise medicine in the UK.
• Proven experience as a Consultant Dermatologist within the NHS.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and make clinical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients on hospital waiting lists.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and clinical findings.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Provide clinical guidance to junior medical staff where appropriate.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation with follow-up recommendations.

Requirements

• GMC registration with Specialist Register accreditation in Dermatology.
• Active Licence to Practise.
• Proven experience working as a Consultant Dermatologist within the NHS.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and make sound clinical decisions.
