Job description

Whether you already are an experienced consultant in one of our technology streams or a seasoned professional from industry, we want to hear from you!

We’re hiring for our Consulting teams to come in and have the opportunity to add tangible value to the work we do and the success of our clients. We need people who put customers first, every single day whether it’s day one of the project or after implementation.

We are a young and growing company with huge plans for growth which means you’ll be given plenty of growth opportunities within Bolt Consulting, as well as training provision if you want to take courses outside your immediate role.

Role Location: UK / EMEA / Remote

Key Responsibilities

Below are some of the key responsibilities of the role. If you would like any of the specifications explained, just drop us a note at hr@boltconsulting.co.uk.

  1. You will be responsible for taking a client through a full project lifecycle by understanding their needs and developing a solution in conjunction with their subject matter experts.
  2. A key part of the role will be conducting user requirements gathering through the use of whiteboarding sessions either in person or via remote video conferencing solutions.
  3. You will be developing and testing the solution in conjunction with the client project team using technology in your stream or using specific solutions designated by management to assist your delivery.
  4. You’ll be supported by our management team to deliver high-quality solutions for our customers within expected timeframes and budgets.
  5. You will be responsible for managing client expectations through projects, making sure we keep an eye on progress, managing risk, and keeping key members of the team updated with timelines and outcomes.
  6. As a naturally curious and learning-focused individual, you’ll keep yourself abreast of the latest developments in your technology stream.
  7. On days where client engagements are at a minimum, you’ll be involved in other areas of the business such as sales, marketing activity, and internal knowledge base development.
  8. You’ll be responsible for creating a client experience that fosters a long-term relationship with our business, which will include check-ins post go-live and time dedicated to problem-solving.
  9. As a consulting position, under normal business conditions, some travel may be expected and required, but we do everything possible to limit and encourage remote working wherever possible.
Minimum Requirements

If you possess the following or have demonstrated to a high level, you have the potential to be successful in the role:

  1. A background in financial modelling using Excel or other EPM/ERP software.
  2. Experience working with one of the following planning streams – Anaplan / Tagetik / Planful / Adaptive Insights (desirable but not essential).
  3. Exposure or experience with one of the following data/reporting streams – Tableau / Qlik / Informatica / Alteryx.
  4. A history of strong business partnering and liaising with senior-level stakeholders.
  5. Ability to present to small and large group sizes and take lead of the room.
  6. Able to stay calm under pressure.
  7. Able to demonstrate patience and diplomacy when faced with difficult people.
  8. Excellent presentational, relationship-building, and communication skills – both internally and externally.
  9. A strong sense of professional maturity, responsibility, and motivation.
What You’ll Get From Us
  1. Competitive Salary based on experience.
  2. Up to 10% bonus based on company and individual performance.
  3. Access to training in your technology stream, along with dedicated time off to facilitate your learning.
  4. A working culture that enables you to do your best work with as much support as you need.
  5. 23 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays.
  6. An ethos to try and balance work and life through utilisation of remote working where possible.
