A community health organization in Leeds is seeking a Consultant in the CYPMHS and Learning Disability Team. The role involves providing strategic direction and clinical leadership while managing diverse community needs. Applicants should have leadership skills, be on the Specialist Register, and possess good communication abilities. The position offers part-time flexibility and opportunities in teaching and research development.
This is an exciting time as CYPMHS in Leeds undergoes a redesign. You will bring excellent leadership, enthusiasm, and strategic skills to help solve challenges and shape the future of the service. You will be welcoming, with a positive approach to seeing children and young people with a range of presentations within our core and LD service. You will hold a caseload, support new assessments and reviews, and provide clinical leadership and support for local and whole service MDTs. The post is for 10 sessions per week, and part-time or job share applications are encouraged. There are on-call responsibilities associated with this post. You will have an identified base but will be expected to work across the city. Good communication skills are essential, and previous knowledge of healthcare systems would be beneficial, although training will be provided. You will work with GMC guidance for multi-agency and multi-disciplinary teams and must work flexibly to meet service needs. The ability to travel is essential, along with a flexible and adaptable attitude. Opportunities exist for postgraduate teaching and research development.
