Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Community Paediatrician with a special interest in Children Looked After (CLA). The post is mainly based at Queen Mary's Hospital for Children (St. Helier site) with cross-site working encouraged.

The role includes CLA named doctor duties, neurodevelopmental clinics, and contributions to EHCP processes. 10 PA post with opportunities to develop teaching and training and no on-call commitments unless desired.

Qualifications

• Medical qualification or GMC registration.
• GMC Specialist Register within six months of CCT.
• MRCP or equivalent qualification.
• MD or equivalent higher degree.
• SPIN module in Community Paediatrics/Neurodisability.
• Previous CLA Named or designated doctor experience.
• Safeguarding level 3 training.
• Demonstrated leadership and teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Comply with GMC Good Medical Practice guidance.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Follow the attached job plan with clinical duties agreed with Clinical Director.
• Be clinically and managerially accountable for resource use.
• Attend corporate induction and mandatory training.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and education.
