A leading consultancy in Manchester is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a dynamic role focusing on construction disputes. The successful candidate will manage pre and post-contract responsibilities, gain exposure to contentious projects, and engage with various sectors. A Quantity Surveyor with a keen interest in construction disputes is required to work for a professional consultancy based in Manchester.
The client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor, who can join their team of expert staff providing a range of commercial and quantum services to their clients. They will provide the successful candidate with a unique and exciting role with frequent and increasing exposure to construction claims and disputes.
The role would be the ideal first step into a Quantum claims role for a chartered (or working towards being chartered) Quantity Surveyor. You would split your time between carrying out pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying responsibilities, whilst gradually building up your claims and disputes experience on contentious projects. This will include working on live projects, contract administration, risk management and forensic analysis for projects in dispute.
You will be based from the client’s office in Manchester and given some flexibility for home working, but this role will require occasional travel to sites and client offices nationally.
The client prides itself on working within all sectors of the construction and engineering industry. Therefore, this role can deliver an exciting variation of project exposure on domestic and international projects, which can include (but not limited to) housing, residential, power and civil sector(s).
