NHS Blood and Transplant operates across England and North Wales, collecting and processing blood, tissues, and providing specialist services supporting transfusion and transplantation. We seek a qualified Consultant Clinical Scientist in the Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics Laboratory at NHSBT Colindale to support clinical services across hospitals, including registry typing, blood transfusion, and immunogenetics services. The lab is UKAS and EFI accredited and supports NHSBT’s Genomics programme.
Participation in the national H&I Consultant on-call rota for out-of-hours support is required.
Applicants must demonstrate the required attributes throughout the recruitment process. The role offers a salary of £74,290 - £85,601, full-time, permanent, with benefits including NHS pension, flexible working, and generous leave.
