An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Consultant Clinical Scientist to join a team of 4 consultant staff and a further 7 clinical scientists within the Biochemistry Department at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The successful applicant will support the Clinical Biochemistry service across the North Sector and will play a key, strategic and clinical role leading the specialist endocrine section. An interest in assay development, service improvement and tandem mass spectrometry would be beneficial.
You will be expected to participate in all aspects of the department including reporting, clinical liaison, research and development, teaching, audit and the on-call rota.
You will have advanced specialist knowledge and interpretive skills with significant Clinical Biochemistry experience, be HCPC registered as a Clinical Scientist and an MSc or equivalent in Clinical Biochemistry and have obtained FRCPath.
