We are actively seeking suitable candidates who will complement and develop existing services, in conjunction with our established team of Chemical Pathologists and Consultant Clinical Scientists. Assist the consultant and clinical scientist team in the development of the biochemistry service across the trust, liaising with acute and primary care clinicians in the development of new policies and procedures which impact service users and patient care.

Provide guidance to laboratory personnel to help resolve technical / analytical problems.

A procurement exercise to replace the current LIMS is underway with other neighbouring trusts within the region and it is envisaged all staff will have a role as we replace this over the next 12 - 18 months.

Participation in the on-call out of hours Clinical Chemistry service for Tees Valley Pathology.

This role may involve work clinically leading Point of Care Testing. This role may be rotated around Consultant staff members.
