This is a one day per week consultancy position

Summary
Appoint Healthcare partners with a leading national provider of health and social care services for young people and adults with neurological, mental health needs, and learning disabilities. We are seeking a Consultant Psychologist for their specialist service for adults with complex neurological care needs.

This is a one day per week (hour) consultancy role providing expert advice to other professionals to facilitate goal-oriented care and treatment across the service. Responsibilities include supporting cognitive, psychometric, and behavioral assessments on a referral basis. You will be supported by an Assistant Psychologist and will join a network of psychologists across neurological services and the wider organization.

Requirements
  • BPS accredited psychology degree
  • UK HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
  • Chartered member of BPS
  • Engagement in ABI networks (Brain Injury/Neuro)
  • Practical knowledge of psychological theory models in clinical settings
  • Experience applying psychological knowledge to neurological services
  • Experience working with clients with neurocognitive deficits
  • Research and project experience
