NHS Lanarkshire offers a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and collaborative CAMHS service. We seek two consultant child and adolescent psychiatrists to join our supportive team. The service has recently undergone significant development, including a Neurodevelopmental Service linked with the University of Glasgow, expansion of CAMHS Tier 4 teams, and measures to support psychiatrists, such as prescribing pharmacists.
The CAMHS service comprises four locality teams and specialized units focusing on care experienced youth, children affected by parental mental illness, eating disorders, and pediatric psychology. An infant mental health service is also available.
We promote teaching, with opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate training, including links with the University of Edinburgh and the University of Glasgow. There is scope for involvement in quality improvement projects and other professional activities.
The Coathill Hospital post is a full-time position on a 10 PA basis, with 8 Direct Clinical Care and 2 Supporting Professional Activities, subject to final approval. Applications for part-time work are welcome. The Udston Hospital post is less than full-time, on a 6 PA basis, with 5 Direct Clinical Care and 1 Supporting Professional Activity.
Honorary status at the University of Glasgow is available for those involved in teaching or research activities, offering benefits such as access to university facilities and resources.
