A regional mental health trust in Greater Manchester is seeking a qualified medical professional to provide psychiatric leadership in a community-based CAMHS service. The role involves comprehensive assessments, leading multidisciplinary meetings, and supporting ward staff in managing psychiatric emergencies. Ideal candidates will have experience in a mental health setting and be familiar with the Mental Health Act. This position offers a chance to transform mental health services in a vibrant community.
This is a newly created post in a busy community-based CAMHS service which serves a population size of around 330,000. The service is commissioned to provide specialist mental health support for children and young people aged 5 to 18 years presenting with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Depression, anxiety related difficulties, self-harm, difficulties associated with neurodiversity are frequent presentations leading to referral.
