A community mental health service is seeking a Medical Leader to provide psychiatric assessments and oversight in inpatient settings. Responsibilities include conducting reviews and supporting staff during psychiatric emergencies. This is a newly created post in a busy community-based CAMHS service which serves a population size of around 330,000. The service is commissioned to provide specialist mental health support for children and young people aged 5 to 18 years presenting with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Depression, anxiety related difficulties, self-harm, difficulties associated with neurodiversity are frequent presentations leading to referral.
