Job summary

We are pleased to welcome applications for a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatry post (10PA's) in the Hounslow Adolescent Team, West London NHS Trust CAMHS.

The West London NHS Trust's Child and Adolescent Mental Health services have a history of innovation. We are currently embedding Youth Ambassadors in all services to ensure co-production and continue to develop innovative services to enhance the crisis pathway.

Hounslow CAMHS has four specialist community teams - a child and family team, an adolescent team (including EIP), a Neurodevelopmental service and a mental health team for young people with intellectual disability. Trust-wide CAMHS Crisis, Eating Disorder, DBT and Under-5 Services support the core CAMHS offer.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job would be to offer consultant psychiatry input in the Adolescent Team. There is a strong emphasis on medical leadership in our services. Consultants work closely with heads of discipline and managers to deliver excellent assessment and treatment options for children and young people with emphasis on responsive, individually tailored patient-centred delivery of care. There is considerable opportunity for professional growth.

The Trust is an established partner and contributor in the development of the evolving North West London Integrated Care System and the Integrated Care Board. The Trust leads the NW London Children and Adolescent Mental Health provider collaborative.
