Qualifications

• GMC-registered with CCT in CAMHS Psychiatry (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in Tier 4 CAMHS or crisis assessment.
• Strong leadership skills with a patient-centred ethos.

Responsibilities

• Lead the multidisciplinary team in triaging and managing patient care within the ATU.
• Conduct weekly ward rounds, risk assessments and oversee treatment plans.

Active Care Group is proud to launch a newly commissioned six-bedded CAMHS Admission and Triage Unit (ATU) – the first of its kind within the local provider collaborative. We are now seeking an experienced and passionate Consultant in CAMHS Psychiatry to lead this exciting new service. What you'll be working:

Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week. However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the multidisciplinary team in triaging and managing patient care within the ATU
• Conduct weekly ward rounds, risk assessments and oversee treatment plans
• Participate in family meetings, discharge planning, and reviews
• Provide clinical supervision to junior doctors
• Ensure robust clinical documentation and contribute to quality assurance processes
• Engage in clinical governance, audits, and service development
• Participate in the second-tier consultant on-call rota (1 in 4)

What you'll have:

• GMC-registered with CCT in CAMHS Psychiatry (or equivalent)
• Section 12(2) and Approved Clinician status
• Significant experience in Tier 4 CAMHS or crisis assessment
• Strong leadership skills with a patient-centred ethos
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
