A leading healthcare organization in Wales is seeking two full-time Consultant Breast Surgeons. This is a new post for two full-time Consultant Breast Surgeons. The post will be based in Singleton Hospital but with clinical commitments at Neath Port Talbot Hospital, and occasionally Morriston Hospital in other parts of the Health Board. It is offered on the amended terms of the Consultant Contract.
The post is offered initially on a 10 session contract, but those wanting to work less than full time would be considered and should also apply. There are no general surgery on-call commitment. The department is willing to consider flexible working arrangements depending on the individual needs of the successful candidate.
The successful candidate must be fully registered with the General Medical Council, and have or, be within 6 months of obtaining his/her CCT at the time of interview. We would also welcome expressions of interest from those just outside this window who will obtain their CCT within the next year.
Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work this amount of sessions would also be eligible to be considered for the post, and the post is subject to the terms and conditions of service governing the appointment of hospital medical and dental staff in Wales.
