CONSULTANT RADIOLOGIST WITH BREAST & GENERAL

A North East London NHS Trust has appointed my agency to help recruit a substantive or 12 month NHS Fixed Term Consultant Radiologist with sub specialty interest in Breast & General Radiology.

Vacancy Information:

Our client, a University Hospital, has easy access to central London and Essex. The Trust has a turnover of £249m and employs over 3000 people. Radiology forms part of a newly formed access directorate which also incorporates outpatients.

Typical Job Plan:

1. 2 breast clinic one stop sessions a week
2. 1 cold breast list (biopsies, cold referrals and follow up US typically)
3. 1 acute CT
4. 1 hot reporting
5. 1 cold CT
6. 1 cold MRI
7. 2 SPA
8. 1 on call

On call is one in 10, so roughly 5 weekends a year and 3 evening weekdays a month. All CT are outsourced from 7 pm to 8 am, so no overnight work. Given the on call commitment, one day free a week could be organized (so typically working 4 days a week only), but this should be confirmed during the interview.

Our client will consider both experienced and new consultants and would be interested to hear from those completing their specialist training.

GMC registration is essential; however, specialist registration is not required for this post. Overseas applicants will be considered provided they have GMC registration, and Certificates of Sponsorship will be issued to successful overseas applicants who require visas.
