The Royal Devon University Hospital NHS Trust seeks a Consultant Anaesthetist to provide anaesthetic services at multiple hospitals in the region. A supportive and inclusive environment is emphasized, with a focus on staff development, flexible working, and comprehensive benefits.
This is a substantive appointment within the Royal Devon University Hospital NHS Trust, which includes Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital and North Devon District Hospital. The post offers a unique opportunity to work across diverse services, combining excellence in research, teaching, and strong links to the University with NDHT’s innovation and adaptability.
The base hospital, on-call requirement, and residency requirement for this post are for the Eastern Service, based at RDE (Wonford). Currently, there are no cross-cover arrangements for anaesthetic services between hospitals. If needed in the future, work would be equitably distributed within the anaesthetic department and would not involve newly appointed Consultants.
