A leading healthcare provider in Wales is looking for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join their team at Glangwili General Hospital. The role involves providing high-quality care in the anaesthetic department and supporting emergency and trauma surgery. The ideal candidate will have full GMC registration and specialist interest in peri-operative medicine. It is an exciting time to join our welcoming and friendly team of 27 Anaesthetic Consultants based at Glangwili General Hospital. The successful candidate will support the current establishment of NHS and academic staff contributing to the on‑call rota, and providing senior anaesthetic cover for elective, emergency and trauma surgery.
There are opportunities for the successful candidate to deliver clinical care on emergency and trauma lists and gain further experience and expertise in a variety of specialities, including general surgery, ENT, and Ophthalmology.
The post is for a Consultant Anaesthetist with a specialist interest in Peri‑operative medicine. The post holder will provide high quality care for patients within the anaesthetic Department and provide peri‑operative care for elective and emergency patients across the range of specialities available within Hywel Dda UHB. The candidate will join a team of consultants with an interest in Peri‑operative medicine, doing High‑Risk pre‑assessment, CPET clinics and assisting with our Pre‑habilitation service.
