Consultant - Allegro Technical

Location: Europe

Work Model: Remote - Occasional Travel Required

What will you be doing?

As a consultant at capSpire, your role will provide you with considerable challenge, variety and development opportunity in a client-facing environment. You will work as part of a core team delivering exciting and complex programmes for our clients such as power & gas utilities, oil majors, commodity trading houses and brokers. You will be engaging in strategically important client transformation projects based in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to understand client requirements and translate them into technical configurations in Allegro.
• Perform system configuration, scripting, and development tasks within the Allegro platform (e.g., .NET C# integration).
• Support end-to-end implementation activities including design, build, test, deploy, and post-go-live support.
• Assist in system integrations (APIs, middleware, upstream/downstream systems).
• Troubleshoot issues and provide production support to ensure system stability and client satisfaction.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing activities.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience implementing or supporting Allegro ETRM solutions in a consultancy or client-facing role.
• Strong understanding of Allegro’s data model, transaction lifecycle, and key modules (e.g., trading, scheduling, risk, settlements).
• Experience with Allegro Class Events and/or integration technologies (e.g., .NET, SQL Server, XML, JSON).
• Solid understanding of energy/commodity trading business processes.
• Comfortable working with technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel to client locations as per project requirements.

Preferred Experience:

• 2+ years of experience implementing or supporting Allegro ETRM solutions in a consultancy or client-facing role.
• Strong understanding of Allegro’s data model, transaction lifecycle, and key modules (e.g., trading, scheduling, risk, settlements).
• Experience with Allegro scripting (JVS) and/or integration technologies (e.g., .NET, SQL Server, XML).
• Solid understanding of energy/commodity trading business processes.
• Comfortable working with technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
