Ofsted Children's Residential Care Consultant - East Midlands (Head office Nottingham NG15)

A.H. Lancer Consulting Ltd is an ambitious consultancy firm specialising in Ofsted-regulated children's residential care. We provide expert guidance and support to care providers across the UK, ensuring high standards of care and compliance. We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in children's residential care to join our team as a Consultant.

About the Role

As a Children’s Residential Care Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients with the day-to-day management, compliance, and operational improvement of their services. Reporting directly to the Director(s), you will provide strategic guidance, regulatory insight, and practical solutions to help our clients achieve and maintain high-quality care standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide specialist consultancy/Responsible Individual services to children’s residential care providers.
2. Support clients in achieving and maintaining Ofsted compliance and high-quality standards.
3. Conduct independent audits, strategic reviews, and Regulation 44 visits.
4. Deliver training, mentoring, and operational support to care teams.
5. Assist in the troubleshooting of failing homes, implementing improvement strategies.
6. Support clients with property suitability assessments and pre-registration consultancy.

Key Requirements:

1. 5+ years’ experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager in a children’s home.
2. 1+ years managing a home rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.
3. 4+ years managing a home rated ‘Good’ or above.
4. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children’s Residential).
5. Level 3 or 4 qualification in Children's Residential Care.
6. Valid Driver's License.
7. Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and best practices in children's social care.
8. Exceptional organisational, time management, and leadership skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
10. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
