Consultant – Hybrid Bath, South West – Up to £55,000

This role offers a unique opportunity to apply advanced analytical and cost estimation techniques within a consultancy supporting defence and civil sectors. Working across multi-disciplinary teams, you will contribute directly to the development and delivery of complex projects ranging from one month to one year in duration.

Role Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret detailed research technology scopes to support decision-making
• Develop and refine cost estimation models using recognised MoD frameworks
• Create and implement advanced analysis tools and techniques to enhance project outcomes
• Provide reliable advice and support to clients across military and civil customer sites predominantly within the Southwest
• Plan, manage and deliver contract requirements with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness and client satisfaction
• Support data identification, collection, normalisation and presentation for reporting and strategic insight
• Generate lifecycle cost, schedule and risk estimates for future acquisitions incorporating whole life costing

Technical Skills and Experience

• Proven experience within defence research, logistics, maritime or manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with MoD cost estimation policies and procedures, including portfolio and programme management techniques
• Strong knowledge of project controls principles, including scheduling, work breakdown structures, risk management and budgeting
• Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel modelling, including creation of complex cost and analytical models
• Ability to generate detailed analytical reports using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Experience in presenting complex data and cost models clearly to stakeholders at varying levels

• Applicants must hold British citizenship due to client site security restrictions

This is a permanent role with a salary of up to £55,000 and hybrid working arrangements within the Southwest.
