Construction Yard Manager / Supervisor

Location: Barnsley, Yorkshire and the Humber, England

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Yard Manager / Supervisor to join our team at our Depot in Barnsley. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will manage day-to-day operations in the Yard, ensuring a safe working environment and organized equipment. Your role will involve stock management, maintenance, and overseeing deliveries to construction sites.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  1. Supervise team and manage a busy yard / warehouse area.
  2. Manage current stock and communicate shortages promptly to minimize disruption.
  3. Ensure a safe, clean, and tidy working environment.
  4. Oversee loading and unloading of materials.
  5. Implement security measures for the yard.
Experience and Skills:
  1. Strong communication and team management skills.
  2. Proficient in computer use, able to utilize tablets for equipment management.
  3. Counterbalance license preferred but not essential.
  4. Valid driving license required.
  5. Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure.
Hours of Work:

Between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
