Construction Yard Manager / SupervisorLocation: Barnsley, Yorkshire and the Humber, England

About the Role:We are currently seeking a Yard Manager / Supervisor to join our team at our Depot in Barnsley. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will manage day-to-day operations in the Yard, ensuring a safe working environment and organized equipment. Your role will involve stock management, maintenance, and overseeing deliveries to construction sites.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Supervise team and busy yard / warehouse area.

  • Manage current stock and communicate shortages promptly to minimize disruption.

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and tidy working environment.

  • Oversee loading and unloading of materials.

  • Implement security measures for the yard.

Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience managing a building depot / yard preferred.

  • Strong communication and team management skills.

  • Proficient in computer use, able to utilize tablets for equipment management.

  • Counterbalance license preferred but not essential.

  • Valid driving license required.

  • Self-motivated with ability to work under pressure.

Hours of Work:Between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

Job Type: Full-time
