Job summary

Reaseheath College and University Centre is seeking a Construction Technician to provide high-quality technical support in the Construction Department. You will help ensure safe operation and maintenance of workshop machinery, support practical sessions, and maintain a clean, efficient learning environment.

The role requires Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent, experience in construction, Health and Safety competence, and proven wood machinery operation.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent.
• Experience in the construction industry relevant to the role.
• Health and Safety competence in the industry.
• Proven experience operating and maintaining wood machining equipment.
• Ability to build relationships with industry to support the college's reputation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain woodworking machinery.
• Carry out regular inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs on construction tools.
• Set up tools, equipment, and materials for practical classes.
• Assist teaching staff during practical lessons as required.
• Handle deliveries, manage stock levels of materials and consumables.
