I am working on behalf of a leading insurance company with a focus on commercial clients. They distribute their products via a panel of brokers, predominantly comprising and leading independents throughout the UK providing comprehensive insurance solutions. Their team in Manchester city centre is made up of experienced underwriters with specialist product knowledge, and therefore enjoy a highly favourable reputation in the market.

Assuming a key appointment in the regional Construction underwriting structure and reporting into the Head of Construction in London, your remit will be focused on underwriting new business spanning a diverse range of products, including but not limited to EL/PL, CAR, Plant and BI. As a senior member of the structure you will also be required to mentor and coach less experienced colleagues, assisting with technical referrals and supporting their development.

Essentially you will come from a specialist Construction Liability background and have experience working with a diverse broker panel. Applicants without prior experience underwriting new business however with a relationships focused outlook are encouraged to apply.
