Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share or full-time basis.

Well, you can expect no two days to be the same. You’ll be working with your team, reporting into a Business Manager, and interacting daily with brokers and intermediaries.

We need you to provide a standout service experience for customers and stakeholders, responsible for delivering quality and timely solutions. This involves taking ownership of your workload and supporting colleagues to meet collective goals—teamwork is essential!

Key responsibilities:

• Develop profitable business with Construction brokers & customers.
• Manage clients and broker relationships, interacting with risk managers.
• Oversee the service proposition on key broker accounts.
• Underwrite and negotiate insurance contracts.
• Demonstrate knowledge of systems, products, processes, and procedures to provide a first-class customer experience.
• Engage in ongoing self-development and learning; coach others when appropriate.
• Promote continuous improvement and process efficiency.
• Contribute to a positive team culture.

What are we looking for?

Ideally, you will be an experienced Construction Underwriter seeking your next challenge at a large, global insurer. Experience with CAR, Public/Products Liability, and Employers Liability insurance programs is beneficial. Strong communication and influencing skills are required, along with industry trend knowledge. CII qualifications or progress towards them are expected.
