Project Administrator

A successful and growing contractor in Olney, Buckinghamshire is looking for a Project Administrator to join their team. Candidates with and without work experience are invited to apply. Role Overview: Administrator (Project Administrator)

The Project Administrator will play a key role in the coordination and administration of roofing & construction projects, ensuring effective communication between teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks within a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Send enquiries and requests for quotations to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Process invoices received from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Raise and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company procedures
  • Prepare Health & Safety folders and site packs for new projects
  • Support management of company store, including regular stock checks
  • Undertake cost comparisons for supplier and subcontractor quotes
  • Attend ad-hoc site visits to assist with project coordination and logistics
Requirements:
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Previous experience in a construction or project-based environment (full training will be given)
  • Full UK driving license (for site visits)

Please note this role is office-based with regular hours (8:00am – 5:00pm). It would suit candidates living in Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, in locations such as Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Northampton.
