This School is a specialist Pupil Referral Unit in Brent, supporting young people who have experienced barriers to learning in mainstream education. The School provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students are empowered to re-engage with learning and build confidence through creativity.

They are currently seeking a dedicated Construction Teacher who can bring energy, empathy, and innovation to their small but committed team to start in September.


The role

Deliver high-quality, inclusive construction lessons across KS3 and KS4 (Must be able to teach City and Guilds Level 1)

Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs, including SEMH, Autism, and ADHD

Foster creativity and self-expression in students, helping them build confidence and resilience

Plan and deliver lessons that align with curriculum expectations while also supporting emotional development

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff to ensure students are fully supported

Contribute to a positive and restorative school culture where every child feels valued

The role requires

Experience teaching construction in mainstream or alternative provisions (Must be able to teach City and Guilds Level 1)

A calm, patient, and creative teaching style

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, particularly in SEMH settings

A passion for helping vulnerable young people reach their potential
