Job summary

BAE Systems in Preston is seeking a Supply Chain Manager on a contract basis with hybrid working arrangements. The role carries an hourly rate of £47.51 PAYE or £64.09 Umbrella and a duration of 6-12 months.

The successful candidate will lead strategic sourcing development, drive programme-wide supply chain design, and coordinate with other functions to align with corporate objectives and the wider submarine enterprise.

Qualifications

• Construction experience - MANDATORY.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain best practices and enabling strategies.
• Breadth of business, market and competitor knowledge to shape SCM strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of strategic sourcing strategies for current and future programmes.
• Lead on pan programme activities including design and delivery of category and supplier strategies.
• Identify opportunities for alignment with other functions and the wider Submarine Enterprise.
