Job summary

Select Engineering is seeking for an Infrastructure Delivery Engineer to manage multi-discipline projects across ME, including civils, steelwork, and M&E. You will collaborate with safety, project managers, contractors and internal departments to meet KPI targets and deliver on time and on budget.

The role requires strong organisation, project management, and cost-proposal experience, with a focus on safety and stakeholder engagement within GME projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in Infrastructure/Plant/Electrical or Mechanical disciplines
• Multiskilled delivery Engineers with bias toward historic discipline; identify in CV submission
• Experience in infrastructure work from conception through delivery and completion
• Experience in contractor management and site installations; deliver benchmark Site Safety performance
• Understanding of site safety and CDM 2015 regulations
• Knowledge of infrastructure methods, materials and skills requirements
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Experience leading teams to meet tight timescales and budgets
• Experience costing proposals from development to delivery and final completion

Responsibilities

• Deliver Infrastructure projects within ME including civils, structural steel, mechanical/electrical service installations and general facility fit out
• Interface with Health and Safety, Project Managers, Contractors and departments to deliver KPI's
• Cover feasibility, procurement, manufacture, delivery, installation, commissioning and handover
• Drive a Zero Harm approach to safety in our designs and contractor performance
• Support business planning, scheme reviews, budget cost creation and justifications
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure standards within ME aligned to the operating model
• Deliver world class facilities and infrastructure on time, on budget, to quality standards
• Undertake other work as directed by the GME Infrastructure Manager

Duties

This role will have the accountability for the delivery of several Infrastructure projects within Manufacturing Engineering (ME). The works will include all aspects of Infrastructure delivery, including, Civils, Structural steelwork, mechanical / electrical service installations and general building fitout within the site, using the support of our inhouse and external vendors.

There will be a need to interface with several internal and external stakeholders, including all aspects of Health and Safety, Project Managers, Contractors and all relevant departments to deliver Projects in line with all KPI's.

This role is a key position in the delivery of GME's core works, and covers the full spectrum of delivery, from Feasibility, Procurement, Manufacture, Delivery, installation, commissioning and handover.

Accountable for the delivery of Infrastructure Projects within GME Manufacturing plants, using both internal and external contractor base.

• Drive a “Zero Harm” approach to safety in our designs and contractor performance.
• This will include civil works, structural steel works, mechanical & electrical works and general facility fit outs.
• Support the wider business planning, in scheme reviews, budget cost creation and justifications.
• Support the GME Infrastructure Manager in the development of key stakeholder relationships ensuring that GME is the primary source of all Infrastructure works. This will include stakeholders outside of GME.
• Support the GME Infrastructure Manager with the development and maintenance of all Infrastructure standards within ME, ensuring they are aligned to support the business operating model.
• Deliver world class facilities and infrastructure, safely, on budget, on time and to agreed quality standards.
• Undertake any other work as directed by the GME Infrastructure Manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Skills

• Relevant degree qualified or equivalent experience, preferred (but not essential) in Infrastructure, Plant, Electrical or Mechanical disciplines / industry
• We are seeking experience multiskilled and rounded delivery Engineers, but appreciate you/the successful candidate will have a bias regarding historic discipline, please identify this within your CV submission, i.e. trade associations, prof bodies, competency certs etc.
• Previous experience and strong background of Infrastructure work from conception through to delivery and completion.
• Experience in contractor management and site installations, to deliver benchmark Site Safety performance
• Clear understanding of site safety, and Safety legislation (CDM 2015 Reg etc)
• Excellent knowledge of Infrastructure methods, materials and skills requirements.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams to deliver against tight timescales and budgets
• Knowledge and experience of supporting the development and costing of proposals, right through to delivery and final project completion.
