Petroineos Grangemouth – OUR CHALLENGES ARE YOUR OPPORTUNITIES

We are looking for a number of Construction Co-ordinators on a full-time temporary basis to join our Projects & TAR team based at Grangemouth. Do you have experience in Mechanical, Civils, E&I, or related backgrounds? We are recruiting temporary roles to support our Turnaround (TAR) events, which enable us to undertake critical project work across the Refinery. We welcome applicants with previous experience working on turnaround or shutdown events, as well as knowledge of work pack planning. A degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline would be beneficial.

Experience:
  • Knowledge of construction legislation, practices, standards, and techniques
  • Experience working with third-party construction contractors and contractor management
  • Working knowledge of the Construction Design and Management Regulations (CDM) 2015
  • Technical knowledge relevant to own discipline, including understanding legislative requirements and construction standards
  • Awareness of CDM Regulations
  • Effective communication and influencing skills

Key Accountabilities:
  • Provide construction technical input to design, safety, planning, and constructability reviews
  • Manage projects where Petroineos is the Principal Contractor onsite in accordance with CDM Regulations
  • Conduct SHE & Safe System of Work audits
  • Review 3rd party contractor documentation to ensure compliance with Petroineos standards, ensuring safe and efficient work within timescales
  • Manage communications and interfaces between teams, including permits, meetings, and toolbox talks
  • Maintain and provide access to key construction & safety documentation
  • Assist with onsite quality checks
  • Facilitate safe access and egress through Traffic Management Plans
  • Proactively resolve design-related issues before or during site activities
  • Provide progress reports to project stakeholders
  • Keep records of site activities and conditions to validate contractor claims or variations
  • Issue Site Instructions for minor activities
  • Secure the site and support investigations after incidents

The hourly rate for this role is up to £40, depending on experience.
