Main Accountabilities:
- Site planning: Plans on-site project activities related to the assigned discipline with the Site Manager or Site Construction Manager, including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinates agreements between the customer and external resources on installation/construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.
- Site coordination and monitoring: Responsible for coordinating all on-site activities related to the assigned discipline, from receiving the site area to handover, ensuring successful execution of start-up, installation/construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities in line with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
- Stakeholder relations: Acts as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and other local organizations.
- Health, safety, environment (HSE), and project security: Ensures a detailed and current construction H&S plan is in place for each work package, compliant with company policies. Promotes health and safety considerations among project partners and is empowered to suspend activities in case of violations, taking necessary steps to prevent risks.
- Equipment handling and logistics: Ensures proper handling, storage, and installation of delivered equipment, coordinating on-site storage and shipment logistics to ensure timely delivery.
- Sub-contractors management: Manages on-site subcontractors hired by ABB to ensure quality and progress meet delivery standards and deadlines.
- Site cost management: Monitors project site costs against forecasts, controls expenditures, manages petty cash, and has delegated authority for local purchasing within limits.
- Documentation: Maintains all documentation, ensures updates are made as necessary, and that latest revisions are used for construction work.
- People leadership and development: Ensures the area is properly organized, staffed, and skilled. Guides, motivates, and develops team members, and manages local logistics such as accommodation, facilities, and petty cash.
Summary:
Supervises a team in executing tasks within an area of responsibility, ensuring proper work assignments and performance reviews. Requires several years of experience as a Site Supervisor, with expertise in Site Management, HSE, Environment, Quality Assurance & Control, Installation Works, and basic knowledge of Commissioning and Civil Works.
