Construction Solicitor – NQ to 3 PQE
Manchester

The Opportunity
A leading UK law firm is seeking a talented solicitor with 0–3 years’ post-qualification experience to join their highly regarded construction team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-quality transactional construction matters, gain exposure to major projects, and develop your career in a supportive, collaborative environment.

The Role
Working closely with senior lawyers, you will be involved in a broad range of transactional construction work, including:

  • Drafting amendments to standard form contracts, including JCT and NEC suites

  • Advising on construction obligations in property documentation

  • Preparing bespoke consultant appointments, collateral warranties, parent company guarantees, bonds, and other project documents

  • Negotiating with other stakeholders on live projects

  • Reviewing and drafting sub-contracts and collateral warranties from sub-contractors and sub-consultants

  • Drafting other bespoke forms, such as purchase orders and vesting agreements

  • Assisting with corporate, real estate, and funding due diligence

  • Preparing client advice reports

  • Leading on post-completion matters

  • Conducting legal research and supporting in-house legal teams

About You

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales, ideally 0–3 years PQE

  • Experience in transactional construction work

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients

  • Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
