The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading firm as a Non-Contentious Construction Associate in Cambridge, working on high-quality projects and enjoying excellent career prospects.

You will collaborate with top UK lawyers and work closely with the contentious construction team, handling transactional construction matters and providing comprehensive client service.

Your work will involve advising on projects such as power stations, roads, railways, defense, infrastructure, office, retail, residential developments, and factory premises.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating construction documentation, including tenders, contracts, sub-contracts, and collateral warranties, whether standard or project-specific. You will also draft performance bonds, guarantees, insurance arrangements, and focus on PFI, PPP, BOOT, partnering, and EPC contracts.

Requirements

  • You will be a qualified Solicitor with at least two years PQE and experience in construction law.
  • You will be meticulous, commercially focused, and outcome-oriented.
  • You will have a proven track record in business development and strong billings.
  • You will be confident managing a busy caseload and working under tight deadlines.
