Overview

Construction Solicitor (Legal Director, 8+ PQE, London, £90-120,000 (DOE). Excellent opportunity to join the well-established Construction and Engineering team of this UK Top 50 law firm.

Responsibilities
  • A leading UK law firm is seeking an ambitious solicitor to join its Construction and Engineering team, with a focus on specialist contentious matters.
  • The successful candidate will have solid technical knowledge and experience gained within a strong regional, or City firm.
  • The role will involve advising a wide range of public and private sector clients, including local authorities, NHS Trusts, further and higher education institutions, academies, funders, developers, contractors, sub-contractors, and consultants.
  • You will ideally have experience in some or all of the following: Adjudication, Litigation, and Arbitration, with a solid understanding of advising on potential disputes and those arising under standard industry construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
  • You should also be familiar with various methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
  • You will have exceptional attention to detail, consistently produce work of the highest standard, and take a proactive, flexible approach to client service and meeting deadlines.
