  • The role will focus primarily on contentious matters, requiring experience in various dispute resolution methods such as adjudication, litigation, arbitration, expert determination, and mediation under JCT and other construction contracts.
  • The team provides strategic advice to clients to resolve disputes efficiently while achieving optimal outcomes, with a focus on cost-effectiveness.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to avoiding and resolving disputes is highly valued.
  • There is an opportunity to work on some non-contentious matters, with preference for prior experience, though training will be provided if needed.
  • Non-contentious work involves advising on construction project procurement, drafting and negotiating contracts, consultancy appointments, and related documents like deeds of novation and performance bonds.
  • Strong client care standards, organizational skills, and efficiency are essential in the role.
  • The role demands a strategic lawyer with strong commercial skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage legal risks and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • The candidate will work across teams such as real estate, corporate, and finance, building client relationships, delivering integrated solutions, and managing multiple transactions within tight deadlines while maintaining high standards.
