Abacus Careers is working with a leading Belfast law firm to appoint a Construction Solicitor. The role offers exposure to high-value, complex projects across contentious and non-contentious matters, with mentoring from partners and real client interaction.

You will advise on contracts, risk allocation, procurement strategies, and project delivery structures, with opportunities for progression in a supportive, work‑life balanced environment in Belfast.

Qualifications

• 1–7 years’ PQE with experience in construction law or a strong interest in developing within this area.
• Solid technical foundation and ability to approach problems commercially.
• Strong communication skills, working with clients and internal stakeholders at different levels.
• Proactive mindset, ownership of work, willingness to learn and contribute to a high-performing team.

Responsabilités

• Advise on construction contracts, risk allocation, procurement strategies, and project delivery structures.
• Support on disputes where required, gaining exposure to both contentious and non-contentious matters.
• Build relationships and attend meetings with clients, contributing to delivering solutions beyond drafting.
• Work closely with experienced partners who mentor and develop the team to accelerate careers.
