Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a Construction Solicitor in Birmingham for a 0–4 PQE role. The opportunity spans both advisory and disputes work for a top 100 law firm-backed client, with hybrid working and a salary range of £50,000-£72,000 plus bonus.

You’ll handle a varied caseload across construction contracts, payment provisions, disputes, and advisory work with stakeholders including employers and contractors.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years' PQE with construction experience
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Experience across both contentious and non-contentious construction matters

Responsibilities

• Work on both contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
• Handle contracts, professional appointments, warranties, bonds and guarantees.
• Negotiate contracts and manage dispute avoidance, adjudications, court proceedings and arbitration.
• Contribute to construction-related advisory work.
• Support projects across sectors including commercial, infrastructure, housebuilding, healthcare, education, retail, leisure and public sector.

Yolk Legal are recruiting for a Birmingham opportunity with the backing of a Top 100 law firm, offering a 0-4 PQE Construction Solicitor the chance to develop across both advisory and disputes work.

You'll work with employers, contractors, subcontractors, construction professionals, financial institutions and other stakeholders across a genuinely varied caseload.

What you'll get involved in

Your experience will span both contentious and non-contentious construction matters, including:

• Construction and engineering contracts
• Professional appointments
• Warranties
• Bonds and guarantees
• Contract negotiations
