Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is representing an established main contractor seeking a Site Manager to lead day-to-day delivery on a live project in Guernsey. You will oversee on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors and trades, and ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to quality standards.

SMSTS and CSCS (Black or Gold) are essential; First Aid at Work is desirable. The role offers a competitive salary, pension and relocation assistance for candidates moving to Jersey.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial, residential or public sector construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.
• SMSTS and CSCS (Black or Gold card) essential; First Aid at Work desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site activity, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standard.
• Manage subcontractors and direct labour, coordinating trades and sequencing of works.
• Maintain robust health, safety and environmental standards on site, including toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Liaise with the project manager, design team and client representatives on progress and technical matters.
• Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, RAMS and quality documentation.
• Support programme and resource planning in conjunction with the wider project team.

Please note: this role requires the successful candidate to live and work on the island of Guernsey. We are working on behalf of an established main contractor with a strong and varied portfolio across Guernsey and Jersey, spanning education, hotel and leisure, residential, commercial and healthcare projects. They are now looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to lead day-to-day delivery on one of their live sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site activity, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standard
• Manage subcontractors and direct labour, coordinating trades and sequencing of works
• Maintain robust health, safety and environmental standards on site, including toolbox talks and site inspections

Ideal Candidate Profile
