Job Title: Temporary Site Manager – Groundworks & SFA Piling Experience

Location: Wigan

Contract Type: Temporary (Ongoing)

Rate: £270 - £310 p/d

Start Date: Immediate

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Temporary Site Manager with a strong background in Groundworks and SFA Piling to oversee and manage a high-profile construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the site, maintaining safety standards, and leading a team of subcontractors to meet project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day operations on site, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and safely.
  2. Groundworks & SFA Piling: Manage all aspects of groundworks, including excavation, drainage, and SFA piling activities.
  3. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections, and addressing any issues promptly.
  4. Quality Control: Monitor and inspect the work to ensure it meets the project specifications and quality standards.
  5. Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of the project.
  6. Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management regarding progress, delays, and issues that may arise.
  7. Problem Solving: Proactively resolve any site issues and ensure the project stays on track.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Proven experience as a Site Manager with specific expertise in Groundworks and SFA Piling.
  2. Certifications: Valid CSCS Card, SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), and First Aid certification.
  3. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of groundworks processes, piling techniques, and relevant equipment.
  4. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage multiple tasks, and ensure high standards of work.
  5. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions when faced with challenges on site.
  7. Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing project needs and timelines.
