Freelance Externals Site Manager - 6 Months - £270/day

Footprint Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for one of our key clients, a prestigious Tier 1 contractor renowned for their exceptional standards in delivering large-scale construction projects across the UK. We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Externals Site Manager to oversee a key project in Leeds for a 6-month contract.

Role Overview:

As an Externals Site Manager, you will be responsible for the management of external works on-site, ensuring that all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with subcontractors, manage site operations, and ensure the project progresses in line with specifications and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all external works, including façade installation, drainage, groundworks, external finishes, and landscaping.
• Supervise day-to-day site activities, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to project schedules.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors to ensure work is carried out to specification and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site-specific safety plans.
• Maintain clear communication with project managers and stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress.
• Monitor and enforce quality control measures across all external works.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise on-site and ensure they are resolved promptly.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager with a focus on external works (facades, drainage, groundworks, etc.).
• Experience working with large-scale projects for a Tier 1 contractor or similar high-profile clients.
• Strong understanding of health and safety standards and regulations.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple teams and subcontractors.
• CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid qualifications are preferred.
