Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking a Forklift Driver for a housing construction site in the United Kingdom. You will operate forklifts to move materials, load and unload deliveries, and assist on-site teams while adhering to safety procedures.

The role requires a valid forklift licence/certification, construction site experience, and a strong safety-focused and reliable approach. Expect outdoor work in varying weather with PPE and on-site safety rules.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift licence/certification for the equipment used
• Experience operating a forklift on a construction or housing site is preferred
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Able to work safely around pedestrians, vehicles and active construction activity
• Physically fit to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual and a team player
• Strong safety-focused attitude and good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
• Load and unload construction materials, deliveries, pallets and equipment.
• Transport materials to designated areas around the housing development.
• Assist with movement of bricks, blocks, timber, plasterboard and roofing materials.
• Carry out daily forklift safety and equipment checks.
• Ensure materials are stored safely and securely.
• Follow site safety procedures and traffic management plans.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area.
• Report defects, hazards, or incidents to the Site Manager.
• Work with site supervisors, tradespeople, and delivery drivers as needed.
