Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Construction Scheduler forEast London projects. You will develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules, coordinating with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to optimize resource allocation and mitigate delays.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's or diploma in Construction Management or Engineering and at least 4 years of scheduling experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing and project management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to gather information for schedule updates and revisions.
  • Identify critical path activities and potential scheduling conflicts, developing mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, analyze variances, and report on schedule performance.
  • Update schedules regularly based on site progress, changes, and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Assist in the development of resource loading and cost loading for project schedules.
  • Communicate schedule-related information effectively to all project stakeholders.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Scheduler to join their team in East London . This role is integral to planning, coordinating, and managing project timelines to ensure efficient and timely project completion. You will develop, maintain, and update project schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders to optimize resource allocation and mitigate delays. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of construction projects within the Eastern Cape , working in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software ("e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project").
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to gather information for schedule updates and revisions.
  • Identify critical path activities and potential scheduling conflicts, developing mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, analyze variances, and report on schedule performance.
