Job Description
As Construction Project Manager at COS you will lead, manage and coordinate a variety of different construction projects globally with a high level of professionalism and in respect of cost, time, quality, compliance and sustainability. You ensure that the brand identity, DNA and specific customer needs are understood and incorporated in all relevant work, such as new store projects, rebuilds and optimisations.
What you will do:
- You will work closely with the COS store design and NCG ( non commercial goods) teams to prepare budgets and business cases, ensuring financial transparency and appropriate sign-off. You will also follow up on costs.
- You will take responsibility for the accuracy of construction budgets and timelines, collaborating with local teams to understand market-specific challenges.
- You will drive value engineering in every project, recommending improvements for future projects, COS How to Build, and Facility Manager guidelines.
- You will visit local construction teams to coach, motivate, and ensure they deliver projects and Facility Manager services efficiently and within set KPIs, meeting COS’s standards and expectations.
- You will collaborate with stakeholders in COS, markets, and global expansion to drive continuous improvements in developments, standards, processes, and communication.
- You will work closely with the Head of C&F to implement the department’s strategy and translate it into operational activities and actions.
- You will understand and clarify COS’s needs regarding project processes and investment handling to the markets.
- You will learn about and understand potential challenges and opportunities specific to different markets, both internal and external, and provide feedback and recommend solutions.
- You will understand change orders and their origins, challenge them, and provide alternative solutions, creating an action plan to avoid them in the future.
- You will collaborate with all functions in the Growth team, contributing to efficient information flow and leading the department towards set long- and short-term goals.
- You will have an overview of COS’s long-term pipeline, including larger facility investments, portfolio composition changes, and new markets, ensuring timely actions.
- You will be involved in developing new and existing store concepts and interiors, bringing expertise in constructing and maintaining stores, as well as innovation within the built environment.
- You will secure COS’s energy management in both existing stores and future portfolio changes.
