An established industry player seeks a skilled Construction Project Manager to join their award-winning Building Design Team. The award-winning East Riding of Yorkshire Building Design Team is a busy, well-established, multi-disciplinary practice embedded within the Local Authority. We currently have an opportunity for a Construction Project Manager to join the Project Management section on a permanent basis.
This position would ideally suit a candidate looking to advance to the next level or an existing clerk of works seeking a new challenge. Due to the seniority of this role, candidates should have recent extensive experience and preferably be working towards a relevant qualification.
The successful applicant will work within the Project Management team, representing the team on day-to-day construction site matters, attending site meetings, inspecting works, and reporting on progress. Responsibilities include preparing project defect schedules, witnessing, verification, and recording of correct construction processes, ensuring relevant documentation for the scheme, and overseeing the commissioning and demonstration of the building in close collaboration with the Project Management and Architects teams.
The candidate will provide construction site supervision for the Council across various projects, ensuring compliance and quality standards in line with the design information, with a strong knowledge of health and safety and best practices to manage the site effectively.
This role may involve client-facing responsibilities, requiring good communication skills and experience in presentation. Additionally, as part of a multidisciplinary team, problem-solving and cooperative working skills are desirable.
An understanding of BIM is essential, with proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD being required. The position offers flexibility in working patterns, including the possibility of working from home and time in the office.
