Construction Project Manager

Our client, an established Irish construction company are hiring a Project Manager to lead a large construction project at a food processing facility outside Glasgow, Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end site management, delivering the project safely, on schedule and within budget. This will be a 6-month project commencing in August with potential for further projects in Scotland upon completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of project delivery from mobilisation to final handover.
  • Manage and coordinate site operations, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with UK health & safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Develop and track project programme and ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Monitor costs and manage budget in line with commercial targets.
  • Maintain regular communication with client representatives, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Produce site progress reports and chair coordination meetings.
  • Drive performance and proactively resolve site issues to minimise delays.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Construction Project Manager, ideally with industrial or food-sector experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK construction standards, CDM regulations, and HSE protocols.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project scheduling software.
  • Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black), and First Aid certifications .
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work full-time on site.
