Are you an experienced Contracts Manager / Senior PM / Project Director looking for a new challenge? Would you like to work for a highly reputable main contractor? We are currently working in partnership with an established Building Contractor to identify a talented Project Director to join their team due to the continued growth of the business. You can expect to be working on schemes up to around £30 million in value, predominantly in the high-rise residential, education, commercial, and health sectors. You will be responsible for the company's flagship building schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement project strategy and delivery programme to ensure effective communication and implementation to deliver the programme on time.
2. Review performance against targets and identify and manage risks and opportunities.
3. Lead the project team to deliver the project.
4. Promote and maintain the highest level of health, safety, and environmental management.
5. Develop and monitor project strategies to achieve sustainability objectives.
6. Develop and drive the team to ensure the delivery of a quality build in accordance with project requirements.
7. Develop and manage customer relationships.
8. Manage the project handover and ensure defect-free completion.

Essential / Desirable Criteria:

• Proven track record of successful project delivery across multiple sectors.
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
• Ability to control costs, timing, and quality in line with targets.
• Efficient use of staff and resources.
• Understanding and sharing build programmes appropriately.
• Managing teams, including supply chain, direct employees, and consultants.
• Playing a leading role contributing positively to project teams.
• Proactively liaising with customers and the supply chain.
• Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc).
• Valid driving license.
• Experience working for a regional or main building contractor managing large schemes of at least £10 million.
